He looks the part because of his size & arm & that's it!!!

1) he constantly stares down receivers which is part of his problem with blocked passes at the LOS.

2) can't read NFL defenses & pre determines each throw nearly every play before the snap

3) inaccurate as hell. Nuff said! It can't be taught & if you lack that trait & ability to throw guys open consistently, you can't be a very good or great NFL QB.

4) his touch sux! Almost every throw is a laser. He left lots of yards & points off the board today because he doesn't have touch or ability to alter the velocity of his passes

5) he's still a turnover machine! Btw he got away with a game ending interception on the Niklas catch. IMO the defender clearly picked the ball.

Time to move on fellas & if I'm GM Keim I let him walk instead of extending him like it's been talked about. He's just not that good.

Btw I would take McCarron & a few others as QB over Gabbert all day, everyday. Better accuracy & better decision maker.

It's hard to wing games with a high school caliber offensive line. But, yes, easily his worst game in red.

Even harder when you have a JC college caliber QB throwing the rock! It's time to stop making excuses for Gabberts play.

He's the ultimate tease no ifs ands or buts.

Yeah Niklas made a hell of a play to pull the ball out on the ground.

Clearly an interception on a very poorly placed pass.

Yeah those HOFers grow on trees let’s take one of those should be easy.

You may notice also the great catches their WRs make, and how they consistently run around and get open, none of which we have on this team!

The point is you keep trying until you get one. You can’t wait until year 7 and say.. but, but he’s only played in 5 games we BA. Let’s give him a whole offseason... blah blah blah.

Couldn't agree more. Please stop all of this talk about Gabbert and he is better than Stanton etc.etc.etc. He is not the answer to anything. He sucks.

Get us a QB....Please!!!!

Actually you can he hasn’t played seven years, he’s been in the NFL for seven on terrible teams with different coaches and coordinators every year. Show me a player in that situation that has been successful? It’s not crazy to want to see what they guy could do given a real chance. And NO right now is not being given a real opportunity with the state of this offense.

Gabbert could be on the Patriots and they would be awful with him. He's just not good. Look at SF with Garoppolo...their offense is way better with Jimmy in that it ever was with Gabbert. He's a back-up -- nothing more, nothing less.

You made a very good point, JG was actually on a competent coaching staff his whole career so he developed. If BG played for the Patriots all of his career you don’t think he’s better? Seriously?

And if they Pats thought JG was a franchise QB they don’t let him go anyway. Give SF time to screw him up.

You're drawing straws here. Gabbert has been on enough teams in his career to receive at least some good coaching. Just look at his career #'s on 3rd down and in the red zone...the two stats that really set the standard for good vs bad qb's. I'll give you a hint...his numbers aren't good...no matter which team he played for.

Who said stop trying? I’ve already stated they need to draft a QBOF. But Gabbert and a rook come a hell of a lot cheaper than CP and Stanton.

It’s not drawing straws, he’s had many coaches and systems if you think that’s productive for ANY player that’s crazy. What is the harm of signing BG and.a rook hopefully QBOF and letting CP and DS walk?

I wouldn't mind that, but that would guarantee the rookie would be starting by week 6 after BG inevitably fails.

Which is what you want right? A stop gap so the rookie can learn and then come in. If BG is playing well you wait but paying CPs salary is nuts with the other needs this team need to address!

His play is probably going to put Big Red in the cellar starting next season based on our downward spiral & loss of Personel.

The reason they traded him is because they were forced too, given Brady's desire to play 5 more years & the tag costing them $20+ mil/year. They would've got nada, so don't paint the situation any other way. Jimmy G obviously wanted to start & doesn't have to sign the tag.

The jury is still out on JG. We shall see if he ever lives up to the hype. BB makes a lot of guys look better than they actually are. And Brady playing 5 more years is bs lol not happening.

I think with some stability around him- o line protection, WRs that can get open and catch it when it arrives -- he can be better

But not "go to the playoffs and make some noise when there" better
