The Seattle Storm have signed former WNBA MVP Sheryl Swoopes to a contract for the 2008 season. Swoopes, 37, has been with the Houston Comets during the franchise's entire 11-year history and helped lead the team to the WNBA's first four league championships. She had back surgery to relieve nerve pressure in September.
