It is really worth the read and should enlighten some people about the life of Amare.
It also clears up with the prejudice that some people use to put down Amare saying he isn't intelligent because he attended 6 highschools.

His mom is a scary person. Good thing that Amare has made it to where he is now without getting into trouble.

Maybe he should be a little more "Eminem" about his mom but on the other hand that might start a lot more trouble with his mom.

does he have another agent now? does nike have any money left to sign him after lebron, melo and now kobe? although they did drop tim duncan....

i think the article was good. it sounds like amare, has a good head on his shoulders. i think the suns have treated him well, and he seem to be handling all the stuff very well. his mom, no doubt is very influential in his life. hopefully not too infuential. i thought it was interesting frank spent all that time trying to fugure out her story and to better understand amare.

they call nba games battles and wars. they are not. amare has been through real battles. let's hope he keeps fighting for the right side....

i think his past contributes to his hunger. maybe his mom's situation can actually help. it could keep reminding amare why he needs to have the drive: becuase of where he's been.

No worries. That was a login that I created a while back. Apparently slinslin got ahold of it.

It is supposed to read "eat me NYT", as in, "Eat Me New York Times". Much like most logins, it does not allow for spaces.

When Stoudemire was declared academically ineligible as a freshman, Hayes had Stoudemire tested for a learning disability. Instead, the test confirmed something he and his wife suspected, which is that Stoudemire has an extremely high I.Q. Though that intelligence may not have shown up in his high-school transcripts, it is clear in the way he threaded his way through the land mines of his high-school experience.

Interesting. :D
