ComingSoon.net has learned that "Smallville" star Kristin Kreuk will play Chun-Li in Hyde Park Entertainment's Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li.

Directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak from a Justin Marks script, the action pic starts filming in Thailand in March, 2008. 20th Century Fox will distribute the live-action feature based on Capcom's video game. The movie is focused on female fighter Chun-Li and her journey for justice.

All I know is that Chun-Li was the hottest character in SF2. That said, a movie about her seems stupid. Hoperfully there are some boobs and a little inuendo to make this worth the fan boys' time. I for one will never see this. Ever.

Love Kristin Kreuk from Smallville, but I don't see her as Chun-Li. She is definitely not enough to go see the movie in the theatres. Maybe I would buy it.

News flash. She is more eye candy then actress. She is not particularly a good actress. Her part will be cheesy and the movie will be cheesy.

20th Century Fox has set a February 27, 2009 release date for video game adaptation Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li. The action film stars Kristin Kreuk, Michael Clarke Duncan, Neal McDonough, Taboo, Chris Klein, Moon Bloodgood, Edmund Chen, Cheng Pei Pei, Josie Ho and Robin Shou.
