School me. Do I only have the option of downloading songs from the internet to an ipod? Or can I upload a CD to my computer and then download the songs from the computer to the ipod?

I think if you have Itunes you can upload from a CD, and then put them on the Ipod.

ANY mp3 file, whether it came from somewhere on the internet, a cd, or iTunes, can be put on an iPod with the iTunes program. I've found songs online that are mp3's, I simply right clicked on them, saved the file, and then loaded that file into my iTunes library. Voila.
