I bought a PS2 when they first came out so I had one of the buggy ones. It mostly died a little while ago so naturally I took it apart and now I can't use it at all. I want to buy one of the new models which have the bonus of having the modem built in (as well as reading the DVD-rom games better.) Unfortunately not one single place has any in stock. I've gone EVERYWHERE in town that carries video game type stuff and no luck. IT'S BEEN A MONTH SINCE CHRISTMAS AND THIS ISN'T EVEN A NEW PRODUCT!!! SHIP SOME FREAKING UNITS ALREADY!!! I have all of these games with nothing to play them on and I refuse to rebuy them on another platform.

Man, I hear you. My Xbox is my second Xbox . My first one stopped reading games about a year ago.... it could play all the original Xbox games just fine, but the newer games would all lock up on it. Turns out, Microsoft was using an inferior DVD drive at the time and their newer Xboxes all use a great DVD drive.

Knock on wood, I've had my newer Xbox for about a year now and I've had no problems.

Did you notice the Xbox and PS2 have had these problems, but no one complains about the Gamecube? The gamecube has no games for it, but man is it a solid system all around.

Yeah, there's no games for it! I have a gamecube, and I have like 5 games for it. I have an Xbox and have 20+ games for it. There's just not enough variety on the Cube, but in specs, it's far superior to the PS2 and competetive with the Xbox... it's just too bad Nintendo can't get developer licenses for the Cube.

I have no interest in getting a Gamecube, mostly because I think Nintendo tries to figure out how to come up with the dumbest controller possible every time they make a new system.

I have no interest in getting a Gamecube, mostly because I think Nintendo tries to figure out how to come up with the dumbest controller possible every time they make a new system.

Man, I can't wait for the PS3 to come out.

hmm, to each his own, I guess. I like the controller. It's not the Xbox S, but it's far superior (to me at least) to the PS2 controller, mainly because I can't stand where they put the left analog stick on the PS2. I'd rather have it laid out like the Xbox or Gamecube.

I got my ps2 over the internet from Circuit City like 2 weeks ago.
