Just FYI, I found out the list of teams scheduled for the Summer Pro League here in Southern California...

Lakers
Clippers
Warriors
Kings
Mavs
Grizzlies
Spurs
Knicks

For the second straight year, the Suns won't be participating, even though they have a picture of Amare Stoudemire up on the front page of the Pro League website.

The only explanation, then, is that he will be traded to one of the teams that is participating.

Suns in Summer League....

in Las Vegas this year. I believe the dates are July13 thru July18. The games are at the Cox Pavillion (UNLV campus). Three games a night beginning at 5:00 P.M. I believe the other teams in the league are Washington, Denver, Suns, Celtics, Cavs and I can't remember the 6th team.

The Rocky Mountain league is linked to the Jazz web site.

My read on it is that the Suns will be at the Rocky Mountain and at Las Vegas.

Even if the Phoenix Suns were going to participate in that league Amare Stoudemire would not be with them. He will be at the Olympics, and he almost certainly would not play with one of the summer league teams anyhow.

I wasn't claiming anything, I was just stating what was up on the website.

Did Amare Stoudemire ever play in that Southern California league? I can't remember if they participated the year he was drafted. Perhaps that is why his picture is on the web site.

Yes he did, and yes, I believe that is probably why he is up there. I am proud to say I was among the first fans to see Amare play in person after he was drafted! And you could tell that he was going to be something special.

Wasn't it great when we all started realizing how good Amare Stoudemire could be? I don't think any of us, or most of us anyways, expected him to be so good so soon.
