Another Chabon book (Wonder Boys, Amazing Adventures of Kavilier and Clay, Mysteries of Pittsburgh).
I'm about 3/4 through it and I'm liking it a lot. If you're a fan of both Harry Potter, Narnia and/or Tolkien, you really ought to go pick this up.
Most of the reviews I read say it's in the "youth-fantasy" genre. I'd disagree and say that a lot of kids might have trouble with it.
