Drew Olson just got picked again and returned for a TD, 22-0 Northwestern. Drew Olson threw 3 picks all year, and has 3 in the first quarter today. The last one he was hit as he threw.

That was the rap on him early in his career, bad decisions, he's been throwing the ball high all game.

Looked to me like Maurice Drew got hurt on a late hit, the first blow on the KO return was big but just knocked him down, then another guy came in and dove on him, and I think that's when he hurt the elbow. If it's broken, he's out.

How the first half ended:

UCLA tied it up with a TD and 2-pt conversion.

UCLA blocked a Northwestern field goal attempt.

UCLA scores the go ahead TD. Up 29-22.

Northwestern connects on a 45 yard pass play as time expires and there's a defensive penalty. With first and goal inside the 10 and 0:00 on the clock - they tried a pass play which was nearly intercepted in the endzone. (They could have kicked but had no confidence in their kicking squad with two missed PAT's and a blocked FG.)

Maurice Drew was not injured too badly and has been in on some plays, but not really seen any action because his replacement has done so well (over 100 yards in the first half).

UCLA now up 36-22.

They would have been tied or even leading at that point if they had a better kicking game.
