Sun F Sales to miss WNBA season (AP)

Connecticut Sun forward Nykesha Sales plans to sit out this WNBA season because of assorted injuries. Sales said that after playing a light schedule overseas in the offseason she realized she needed time to get healthy. The 31-year-old All-Star intends to return to the league. Sales played 248 straight games from 1999-06, the second-longest streak of consecutive games played in the league.
