Our defense is looking pathetic. This is an issue that needs to be addressed ASAP. At this rate we'd be lucky to make the playoffs with our horrendous defenive effort... not that we won't.

OK, I have to say this now - Kurt Thomas is not good. He provides very little defensive presence down low - can't rebound anymore, and misses more shots up close than anyone I can remember... whew, I feel better now.

BTW, the rebounds that KT has - seems like they all came when there was no opposition near him... never saw him grab one in traffic. He also has a lot of rebound since he (85% of the time) is the only guy down low. Shawn gets his rebounds in trafffic - works for them.

Kurt had 12 rebounds

Read my follow-up:

I stand by it... when he has any height near him, he fails to rebound. Also - it's not like he needs to be sprinting down the court for the fast break...

Pathetic effort all the way around. Some nice stats for some players, but the effort wasn't there for 3 quarters of this game.

The Clippers are better than the Suns and have been my pick to win the division since draft day. Had the Suns shown any effort in the first half, they might have been able to steal this one, but instead it just goes down as a loss on the road to a superior team. They should have taken care of business against the Jazz last night, and then they would be 2-2 and their slow start wouldn't be such a big deal.

Well, hopefully that San Antonio/Dallas back-to-back gets us on track.

As for Diaw's crappy play, maybe it's a French thing. When his pal Parker signed his lucrative deal with San Antonio, he started out playing like poo, too. He broke out of his slump when he played againts Dallas, so maybe Diaw will follow suit next week. *fingers crossed*

 Thats the second night in a row, that Kurt Thomas has had a crucial layup blocked.

Why do we play 3 back to back sets in our first 6 games? Against good teams on top of it.
Ahhh just a little bit of David Stern spin for all us Suns fans. I imagine he's hoping the Suns cool their jets this year and LA gets back to winning Championships. ;)

New ball...tough back to back games in hopes to get the Suns off to a bad start? Thanks Dave...appreciate it.
