I was just reading that too.

Singleton averaged 1.6 points and 2 rebounds in 7.3 minutes per game last year with the Clippers.

In ten starts during the '05-'06 season, he averaged 6.2 points (on 51% shooting) and 5.5 rebounds in 27 minutes. But last year he was awful. Not sure what that means, but he seems worth a look, if the Suns can stomach the possibility of adding more payroll.

Of course, P. J. Brown would be a much better investment.

Well he'll probably ride the pine most of the time anyway, but when he gets in he's GOT to be better than Marks, right?

He's more of a SF though. At least Marks can theoretically match up with a big.

Anybody read about SA trading Butler & Scola to HOU for some overseas guy and cash, sounds like the Suns but they've got a ring to back up the madness.

I can't really see how he would be any better than Jumaine

singleton is not at the stage in his career where he's chasing a ring yet. he's still young enough that he'll go wherever they offer the most money. i mean, he's only 26 and pro careers aren't that long. he needs to maximize his earning potential. i'll be shocked if he ends up here, though i think he'd be a great addition.

After the Marks signing (reported), I have no idea what they are thinking. The only missing piece is a big guy who can help against Duncan.

It could very well be the case that the Suns never really expressed any interest in this player. Perhaps his agent called the Suns, or maybe there was no contact at all. "Sources tell RealGM that [insert multiple teams] have all expressed interest in..." doesn't seem all that credible to me.

Anyway, I doubt we will hear his name again with regards to Phoenix, though I could be wrong.
