The Suns play at the Hornets today with a 5 p.m. Arizona start time. Charlotte has won 11 of their past 16 games.
I am hoping for another solid game from Alex Len.
C: Tyson Chandler .. Cody Zeller
PF: Alex Len … Marvin Williams
SF: P.J. Tucker … Nicolas Batum
SG: Devin Booker … Courtney Lee
PG: Ronnie Price … Kemba Walker
Key Hornets reserves: Al Jefferson, Frank Kaminsky, Jeremy Lin, Jeremy Lamb, Tyler Hansbrough
Key Hornets injuries: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (right shoulder surgery) and Spencer Hawes (lower back strain) are out.
Getting out rebounded 29 - 19
John Jenkins is probably the best player for the Suns tonight.
The Suns are getting totally embarrassed tonight. They give a new definition to bad. They trail 101-66 at the moment.
We won a game, teams will be less likely to sleepwalk through our games for awhile.
This is the least competitive team I have seen the Suns field. At least the inaugural team was fun to watch.
By far. Most nights we are grossly outmatched at all 5 positions. Len and Booker will be good players but they aren't there yet. When Knight is back to full health we should be able to compete evenly with Philadelphia and the Lakers but until then, we stand alone.
The Suns are expected to bring Knight back next week. I think it is a bad idea unless the Suns are intent on trading him in the off season. IMO, why risk another injury for meaningless games?
My new player to watch is John Jenkins. At least he brings some shooting to the Suns. I'm ready for the Suns to bring in a 15th player to watch. Small things keep me going this season.
I'd bring him back if he's fully healthy. Everybody likes to bag on him for not being able to run a team but he's far better than the scrubs we're using. It's really not helping the development of our younger guys the way we're playing right now. Booker especially needs him. And I don't think his presence will change our lottery position in any way. IMO we're 3rd regardless of who suits up for us. We're not moving up and we're not moving down, with or without Knight.
Maybe your right about Knight not helping the Suns but I'm not sold on it. It would be the Suns luck to start winning some games later in the season when even more teams start tanking. Also it seems near the end of the season there are a lot of unexplained wins and losses... it happens.
I think Knight will help us, just not enough to make up the 2 games Brooklyn has on us. With Brandon I think we can win maybe 3 more games at the high end so the Nets would have to lose out for us to have a chance. And remember, the Nets gain nothing by losing.
