he played pretty good tonight 11/15 I’ll take 15 rebounds
Okay you dragged me into it. Sub .500 shooting. Soft on offense. I’ve never seen a guy like him so consistently grab an offensive rebound and immediately pass it out as he does. And after improved FT #s the first and second games, zero. It feels like he’s settling into accepting not being an impact player but just a role player. That’s a tremendous disappointment if true.

Just give it a rest! Can’t you just enjoy the win?

he’s not a star. Your only setting yourself up for failure by holding out hope that he’s going to be something he’s not.

he’s a career 19/10 guy.

Agreed, he was respectable defensively. I suspect his extra length vs Dario will prove useful for a bunch of matchups.

There going to be nights where teams go big. It's great to have a big man at the end of the bench that can play.

But even more than the stats are how he plays.

So far, Ayton plays weakly. He doesn't make things happen,
either on offense or defense. And he has missed far too
much time in his first two years. whether by suspension
or fouls.

doesnt he actually have to average 19 before we proclaim him that? So far through two years, he’s averaged 17 ppg, and in the bubble and beginning of the season, looks like he’s somehow regressing on offense. I don’t know how that’s possible, but it’s what we’ve seen since the bubble.

I have an uncomfortable feeling he’s going to settle in at lower offensive numbers and just be fine with it.

If Bridges and Cam keep developing Ayton will be our #5 option on O. And that’s fine!

I've lowered my expectations for Ayton but he was doing what he was supposed to do tonight by passing the ball out to open shooters. The Kings defense was collapsing on him.

Ayton is learning to initiate the offense with his passing. He had 4 assists. Also he was blocking out underneath the basket and rebounding.

It may be baby steps for Ayton.

The Kings took a chunk of offense away from him tonight but he made up for it elsewhere. It shows he is learning the game.

Funny how @1Sun completely vanished when the Suns started playing well.

THAT’S why people give you so much crap dude. You are only on here to complain when things aren’t going well, proclaiming the end of the world and then disappear the second you might have to say you were wrong.

And then what’s going to happen when his myopic ass wants a huge extension?
Then tell him bye. I'm trying to be positive with the guy, but pretty much he shouldn't get a second contact with us. Unless the lights come on, he's Armon Gilliam.

oh he is.

I don’t get worked up over it. I’m not going to care more than he does. It’s a waste of energy.

oh man... that’s a hammer drop to the nuts.

and a perfect comparison as far as guy who puts up nice stats but makes very little impact in the game.

Chris Bosh was the nominal center on the Heat championship teams. He was their third best player. He averaged 13 and 6reb in the two Finals’ runs. If Ayton can play great defense and be a 13 and 10 guy, I will be FINE.
