Wednesday the Suns wrap up their four game road trip with a visit to the Lakers.

Lakers (26-7) beat the Mavericks at home on Sunday 105-95 but have lost 4 out of their last 6 games.

Suns (13-20) have won 2 out of 3 games on the road trip including a 122-116 win at Portland on Monday.

Beating the Lakers would be like putting icing on the cake.

Game time is 8:30 p.m. MST (Arizona time).

It will be televised on FSAZ.

It looks like Ayton's ankle is fine coming out of the Portland game.

Monty Williams said Deandre Ayton's ankle came out of his return game from the injury fine. "He was in the gym yesterday throwing down dunks that only he and like five other people in the world can do." #Suns at #LakeShow

I thought the NBA used to take New Years Day off because of the Bowl games, like how they don't schedule games on Superbowl Sunday either. I was looking through the Suns schedules and they haven't played a game on New Years Day that I could find looking through the 90's, 2000's, and 2010's. Kind of odd but I'm not complaining.

The 8:30 start (7:30 in L.A.) probably doesn't interfere with New Years Day activities.

the NBA used to routinely schedule NBA games on Super Sunday... and still do if I'm not mistaken. For a long time they were usually marquee matchups before the big game that involved the Jordan Bulls, LeBron's Heat. Hell, the Suns even played on Super Sunday against the Bulls back in 1996 I believe, right before the Cowboys-Steelers Super Bowl in Tempe.

Also that was a bs foul on oubre. He stole it and then Lebron grabbed HIM.
