The Suns are playing the Heat in Miami. The game is near the seven minute mark in the second quarter.

I only joined the game in the second quarter but I've never see Steve Albert gush about an opponent as much as tonight, especially Goran Dragic.

I think Booker is growing up tonight. He is starting to seek contact when putting up his shot. He looks good doing it.

Wade in the Miami on-court postgame interview:

Well, I like that kid man. He's a... it's the first time I played him. <to the cameraman- you got to get so close?> So, the first time I played him, he's tough. You know, he didn't shy away from contact, he didn't shy away from the matchup. He's got a great future in this league. You know, he's 19 years old.

I'm not sure if he was just talking about this game or if he meant it was the first time he played straight up against him for the game but obviously this is their second meeting.

And the Heat new about his game, this is what made the 34 points special.

I think after couple rough outings for Booker since the all star break, maybe they eased on Booker but he sure made them pay for it tonight. His efficiency was fantastic in this game and just seemed in control.

I liked the way Booker looked for contact on his shots and in many respects, played like a PG. The Heat butchered him with some hard fouls near the end. IMO, they were taking it up a notch. I do not give the Heat credit for easing up on Booker. He earned his points tonight.

Yeah, no way was his performance the result of the Heat easing up on him. They guarded him physically all night and doubled him frequently.

He earned his points but I personally don't believe he was contested or guarded as close tonight compared to most of the other games since the AS break. It could just be me but I thought the Heat relaxed a bit after they got that 20 pt lead near the end of the 3rd qtr after Deng's FTs. And Booker scored 20 of his 34 pts (a vast majority) after that as well. Suns did make a couple of mini runs in the 4th but I don't think we ever really cut it into single digits but I may be wrong on this. And just FYI, by no means am I trying to take any credit away from, he's 19 years old and just dropped 34 pts on a contender playing against the 3rd best SG of all time.
