I know how little most people on this board think of Gamble and Ash when it comes to the Suns (and other sports I suspect). But I found it interesting that they spent upwards of an hour discussing the team this afternoon. Other than on the day of trade, I have rarely heard them even bring the Suns up.

Most of their "insights" were pretty mundane. "The Suns should try to get Kobe". "Suns will try to bribe the Bobcats into taking White". etc. The Suns might wait and go for T-Mac in 2003.

They did mention that Vujanic hand another monster game (6 of 8 for 3) and that the Suns are anxious to sign him this summer.

Overall, there was not much new, but the fact that they are paying attention to the Suns may reflect the buzz the team is creating.

It's funny. Any time that Gambo and Ash every have any "insight", they talk about something posted on the internet and they try to pass it off like they heard it 'round the grapevine.

Whadda' buncha' smucks. :p

I noticed that has well. They seem too specially pay attention to what ESPN Insider says.

But come on. Most of the stuff they're saying now is pretty obvious, right? Do you actually NEED Insider to talk about the possibility of picking up Kobe Bryant or getting rid of Eisley/White to Charlotte?

what do you want them to say. it's not like they have sit downs with jerry and brian who tell them exactly what's going on. they have sources, but sometimes they get there info the old fasion way, the internet. i'm sure 99% of all radio personalities get 99% of there info from public sources. it doesn't make them smucks. they never claim to be 'insiders', in fact, their intro even says 'just a couple of the guys talkin' sports'. for those people who spend all day on the internet it may seem like re-tread information, but for the listeners that get all their info from the radio it's not old news.

They pretended that they got the White to the Bobcats tip from a Suns insider.

Frankly, I'd be much more interested in a way to move Eisley. Vujanic / Barbosa are the Suns PG of the future. Next year Eisley looks to be dead weight (he is marginally useful now).

I keep wondering if it would be worth offering the Bobcats the Phoenix pick to take Eisley. That is really, really expensive; but it would clear cap both this year and for next year as well. The Suns would be in a positin to go after Kobe this year and be in an even stronger position in 2005. Furthermore, they would retain White who should have some market value since he would be on the last year of his contract.

See, this idea I think sounds to be as good as we can probably do. I think Eisley needs to be the guy they target to try to send to the Bobcats, not Jahidi. Our own pick is probably going to be better than the Knicks pick, but considering their pick will probably be around the 14th or 15th, that's still not a bad position to be in, AND it won't be as expensive as a higher pick (say the 6th or 7th).

I guess that will happen when you average over 16 posts a day though :D
