Rubio is probable tonight but 6 others remain out.

Good news for #Suns: Ricky Rubio (ankle soreness) is probable to play tonight in Brooklyn.

Bad news for Suns: Tyler Johnson (knee), Ty Jerome (calf) are still out. So are Dario Saric (ankle), Aron Baynes (hip), Cam Johnson (quad) and Frank Kaminsky (knee).

Need to get this one. Too bad TJ (that's Ty Jerome off course) can't suit up and get quality minutes. I'm hoping Carter gets the nod with Booker, Bridges, Oubre and Ayton. Kill them early and don't let up.

Ty Jerome has been a real disappointment. It's not just his lack of athleticism but this recent injury seems odd. He had the chance to start and now he's too banged up to play? It doesn't seem like it's anything that serious. It wasn't even known until talk of who would start for Rubio started up yesterday.

With 6 players out I'm wondering if somehow it might relate to a trade. However, I want something to happen so I might be optimistic.

Bridges with the steal and Ayton cleans up the miss for a basket.

Booker passes back for Ayton layup. Ayton has 8 points.

Ayton is looking aggressive tonight.

End of 1st quarter:

Nets 35 - Suns 31

As I say Oubre had a slow start... he has 11 points. Ayton has 12.

Diallo is an idiot. He’s not the one to shoot. You just out book back in. And you leave a ton of time for them to can a trey in your face. Awful.

Lecque doesn't look 6'3" or 6'4." He looks shorter to me.

Wish Ayton wouldn't bring that ball down. Otherwise he would be tough to stop.

God Ayton’s is such a wuss. I’m glad to hear Eddie call him out on it. He has the ball point blank with smaller dudes and he goes up soft to finger roll?!? So he gets fouled. And misses one of the free throws. So he gets one point instead of a possible 3. And by my count that’s 10 points right at the rim on him by way of layup (4 of them directly in him, not bc of switches) or free throws.

Booker with 3 personal fouls. I thought it was blocking by defender.
