Suns @ Nuggets Wednesday game thread 1-11-2023

Suns play the Nuggets on the second night of back-to-back games after winning at Golden State on Tuesday.

They finish their four game road trip @ the Timberwolves on Friday and @ the Grizzlies on Monday.

Suns are now 21-21. Nuggets are 27-13 after beating the Lakers on Monday.

When: Wednesday, January 11th

Have we ever won a game in high altitude when playing with a full squad on the second night of a back to back? I guess, maybe. But I'm confident we've never won there on the backend while being ridiculouly shorthanded. I think the best we can hope for is us getting a big lead and then losing our legs and the game down the stretch (like we almost did against GS). Hope I'm wrong, we could use a two game winning streak.

Yeah, not saying it’s likely. Just that you never know.

If Ayton can play tonight, I will give the Suns a chance.

We match up with the nuggets pretty well if Ayton is available to defend Jokic, and I think last nights win might give the team some juice.

This year's Nuggets are last years Suns, paper champs in the west right now IMO. They really haven't had the challenge of a healthy west this season. Looks like they've had a soft schedule so far, but do have one notable win over Boston.

I think they get bounced in the first round.

The Suns signed Saben Lee to a 10-day Wednesday as he's with the team. The Corona del Sol graduate played one preseason game with Phoenix this season. In his third NBA season, Lee scored nine points in 14 minutes Oct. 12 against Sacramento.
