I wanted to start tracking the Suns pace and update it every so often. After all the Suns organization still thinks they can get in.

As of today the Suns are 17-20 (45.9%) and on pace to finish 30-36.

Who the frak wants to make it to the playoffs like that?!?!?!?

WOW!!!

Pace be damned, it won't happen. We won't win more than 25 games. We'll finish around 10th and beat the odds and pull the number one pick. Then, we'll pass on Anthony Davis and select Cody Zeller.

I predicted the Suns would win 22 games so they could really make me look bad.

Nope. We'll finish around 10th, but 3 teams lower than us will beat the odds and we'll be looking at #13. That is the story of the Suns in the draft. If there is a coin flip to lose, no matter how unlikely, the Suns will lose it.

I'm pretty sure that coin would probably deflect off the ground and fling right into Nash's eye if he was standing there.

Nah, my scenario is more frightening and thus, more likely. Picking Cody Zeller over Anthony Davis is material for a Stephen King novel.

Well obviously the Suns aren't going to make the playoffs with a losing record. This isn't the Eastern conference. So if they want to make playoffs, they will have to pick up the pace. So far they are 5-1 since All Star game with four of the wins coming against teams with winning records. We'll see if they can continue that, and if they can also win on the road. So far all the wins have come at home.

Would be a milestone for this team to just reach .500 ball at this point and not drop below.
