The bench has 70 points in this game. Not sure if we could have lost this game even if we had sat players.

Bah, after the last win none of this matters anymore. They already screwed up an already bad season. At least this is a good game from booker and Len. Growth from those two is essentially all that matters.

Maybe things still work out good for the Suns by getting a quality player with their pick like last season. Anyway, we don't have any control of the matter.

Chambers made a good point in the post-game how the players aren't playing for a draft pick, they're playing for their positions and minutes going forward. That's where tanking gets difficult with players, especially veterans.

I also agree with what Archie said about how the players are focused on finishing the season "the right way" and having something to carry over through the off-season. Team chemistry and confidence is extremely important in the NBA (especially when you don't have superstar players) and if grabbing a few wins at the end of this season makes us a better team to start next season than I think it is worth losing a little bit of the odds at a top 2 pick.

I caught that also. That's another way to look at it. I know we're not a big free agent destination but building chemistry and closing out strong might help with any potential free agents. Probably not much of a difference with star players but I'm sure it could influence roles players. With a veteran like Chandler having said how he plans on getting the whole team together in the offseason, it should be easier to do that after finishing the year strong. Outside of the draft and early days of free agency I'm looking forward to hearing about how that works out. It should give the team a leg up headed into training camp, especially with a new coach.

This current New Orleans team might be the worst in the NBA, hands down. Talk about tank-proof. For the opposition.

We are lucky that Davis was in long enough at the start of the season to get some wins.

And they were playing their 4th game in 5 nights which is tough at any time but especially at the end of the season. Their roster is a mix of players that are exhausted from a long season and with players that are unused to playing more than a couple minutes at a time.

There was no losing this game IMO. The bench alone scored 72 points and it's fair to say we would have likely won this game even if we would have sat some of the better players.

Al Williams had 2 blocks and 7 boards. There is no deeper you can go on the bench than that. Not sure what else could be done.

It's clear the Suns intention is to win this game and likely the remaining two games. I guess they are content to let the Nets (Celtics) pass them for the third slot (from the bottom).

Ryan McD doing his former boss some favors for giving him the first opportunity in the NBA.

That is ridiculous. It's one thing to be upset the team is winning, which is a little odd in itself but understandable given the season as a whole, but to think this is being done to help the Celtics is just delusional.

Suns will finish with 4th worst record. Would like to see them win their last two games to finish season with 4 game winning streak. That would be nice.

Yep, may as well since Brooklyn certainly isn't winning another game.

Sticking it to Houston and spoiling their post season is indeed satisfying. Shows that the players have character.

Hope Archie heals up to play major minutes for the last games. He has to improve shooting and ball handling this summer. He's strong enough but must improve ball control.

Really great season by Booker and Len. The most important thing to me outside the draft and free agency is moving Knight. Build around Book and Len. Not sure Warren is our long term starting SF. Biggest need is PG and PF.

Just saw a pic of Ainge's smug face gloating about how the Suns had just handed him the 3rd pick.

Great time to be a Suns fan.Is McDonough still secretly working for Ainge?

I'm thinkin the last time the Celtics had a pick this high his name was Len Bias.

I know for sure the Bias pick was from a trade.

That didn't turn out very well unfortunately. The Celtics traded Gerald Henderson and cash to Seattle for the pick.

The Suns need to get a coach on board before the draft.

To be more accurate I think the Phoenix Suns handed him 156 chances at a top three pick and took back just 119.
