The Solar Panel is the one I prefer, but there is no really great one.

I also listen a bit to Locked On Suns, mainly because it's a daily podcast about the Suns. Evan Sidery is the host and I just don't like him as a host--he sounds infinitely boring and he speaks to fast. But, it's a daily show, so...

The positive thing is that there are A LOT of Suns podcasts out there--I think I counted something like 8 right now.

On The Solar Panel, 2 of the 3 are pro-Ayton. But one of those 3 is Greg Esposito, and I know how many fans of his are on this board (he was previously a poster). I don't know if he posts anywhere anymore, but he loves making fun of the Suns reddit, and I don't necessarily blame him for that. Besides, he does have some good insight seeing as how he was employed by the organization for awhile.

Dave King is the other commentary guy (not the host) on that show--he's the main writer for Bright Side and is part of the Suns media group that attends press conferences.

Thx for the rundown. I always wondered what the different roles/sites were for King, Sidery and Olson cause I get them confused. I believe Sidery like you talks quiet and fast. Very annoying.

Locked On's production quality is just awful so I skip it most days. Pretty sure one of them is using an iPhone for a mic and the constant background noise (typing, phones going off, etc) from both hosts is amateurish.

Yeah, the ONLY thing going for it is that it's daily. But they are all Doncic fanboys through and through. Barely even discuss Ayton.

Olson I believe is from arizonasports.com, not Bright Side. Dave King is the Managing Editor of Bright Side and Sidery is one of their staff writers. Sometimes they have some interesting content, but their content/message board system is terrible.

The Suns just started a new one hosted by Lindsey Smith called The Outlet and it is found on the Suns app.

Not a huge fan of that one--it's well-made, but it's basically Lindsey Smith having chit chat with guests. The first episode with James Jones was a time-waster, but nothing more.

It had some decent info with Arizona coach Miller about Ayton at the end. I haven't listened to the 2nd podcast yet.

I really liked Locked On when Kellan was hosting, but I'm not a fan of Evan as Chaplin say he talks too fast and you can tell he is really young.

Kellan is really knowledgeable about the draft and players and is not afraid to be critical but he does come off as a know-it-all sometimes. He does love him some Doncic though, and that is annoying.

Sunny in Phoenix is another weekly and is okay.

I'd probably rank them

1. Empire of the Suns
2. Solar Panel
3. Sunny in Phoeniz
4. Locked-on

Too bad the Lindsey Smith show isn't a Youtube show instead.

I asked this same question on Reddit maybe a month or two back and the only recommendation I got that isn't listed here is Sunny In Phoenix.

Sunny In Phoenix is so-so, it's newer but it's ok. The audio quality is much better than Locked On, which is ridiculously bad. I'm surprised they still do it with that awful set-up. They've had people rag on their quality for a long time and are aware of the issue but do nothing to fix things.

Here's a link the Sunny In Phoenix show's twitter, you can find their show links on there.

Here's a link to their show, I think, I may have the wrong link that's why I posted their twitter above.

I like Lindsay Smith, but she needs to stop asking any questions that have the word "excited" in them. Her interviews just seem so. . . girly. I am not really interested in what kind of music or movies a player likes or watches. I am interested in basketball.

And Lindsay. If you are worth your salt at all as the Suns' social media coordinator, you should be reading this post.

I like when she wears anything other than a black top. It shows her . . . U U . . . talents.

I'm not sure her show is targeted at Suns message board users. Her show is supposed to be more mainstream and broadly targeted.

Do yourselves a favor and avoid Locked on Suns from yesterday. They basically spend 10 minutes talking about Ayton, which is fine, but the final 5 whining about Doncic not being the pick (probably). I swear I thought one of the guys was almost crying, he was so disappointed we most likely aren't taking Luka.

I like the prospect of Luka, but for the life of me can’t understand anyone being upset with taking Ayton over him.
