The Suns also will bring back veteran point guard Ronnie Price, 32, on a 1-year vet minimum deal ($1.5M). He played for the Suns in 2011-12.

I would have preferred Ish but for the vet min it really doesn't matter.

Ish ftw.

It does matter imo, there's always the chance Bled or Knight could go down again.

No sure why we have McNeal or Price, they haven't done anything. We have at least seen what Ish can do.

I'd much prefer Ish to AJ... in fact, I wanted them to keep him last year. By the end of his one year here, he was running the half court offense better than Bledse or Dragic. He also ran the break well. Besides which he was tough and a heck of rebounder for his size. There's little chance that one of Bledsoe or Knight will not miss a bunch of games and we know Ish could fill in capably but I have serious doubts about AJ.

What baffles me is why, if the Suns are going to start two combo guards, don't they get all combo guards. Both PG's and SG's are going to be unhappy bit players and here is McD loading up on them. I know that three combo guards didn't work out well last year but that was because all three of them saw themselves as starters and the main man. Of course, I don't like having two combo guards running Jeff's offense but if you're going to do that at least get other guards who's skill set matches the offensive slots you've established.
