Game Thread: Suns @ Grizzlies

looking forward to this game. I've had my tickets for a while now, and can't wait to see the suns in action. I think the suns will win this one. As far as playing as a team, Memphis does about as well as any other teams, and without any real superstars. I think the Suns will be ready, and continue their winning ways.

Hows it going with the music? :D

I envy you because I haven't been able to get to a game this year. My kids keep bugging me about it.

Was it hard getting tickets? All the away games I see, the home announcers say the Suns are a big draw.

I am hoping they can sneak by the Griz.

Yuma! Man it's been a while! The Music is going great. I'm working on a Ep right now. We played Issac Hayes restraunt earlier in the month and had a few other gigs around memphis.

The tickets were hard to get. Before the season, they set this game up as one of their "value games" becuase they thought the Suns wouldn't be as good as they are. So i got a ticket, hot dog and a drink for $15!!

it was pretty much sold out when we got them. With the new Fed Ex Forum you get plenty of people who just go to see the new arena (the Pyramid was terrible) and of course the best team in the NBA (Go Suns). The Mempians like Amare becuase he was looking into U of M but went to the NBA, but they are all wishing he was stil there and only a Jr.

Grizzlies are coming off a back to back and have some key players out. I would be nice to get some starters more rest for the T'Wolves game. I like the limited time Nash and most of the starters put in on this road trip. We are a big roll and I want to keep this up at least until the All-Star game and get Coach Mike in.

Q is 1 point away from 5000 for his career! How long into the game will it take him to get there? :D

should be a fun game to watch / listen to

oh, and btw:

Needs only four rebounds tonight to become only the second player in franchise history to grab 4,000 or more rebounds in Suns career (Alvan Adams, 6,937)
that's about Shawn from the Suns game notes

PAYBACK!!

For last week. :D
(EDIT: week before last actually)

Go Suns.

I wonder how much Mike Miller will play. He sat out the 2nd half last night with a concussion.

Memphis' depth will be seriously tested.

This qualifies as a revenge game, I think.

The Suns need to Raptorize these guys so they'll have something left for Minnesota tomorrow. My guess is that the starters will still be playing at the end, though.

It will be fun to finally get to watch the games--I had to follow most of them on my computer the first half of the season. I had such a good year in fantasy football that I convinced my wife we could afford League Pass. :D

I probably should start copying and pasting my post game bitching about the refs. It would save me a lot of time.

I can't help it, I'm an idealist and I expect game to be called fairly and I expect to see a basketball game, not hockey or rugby or football. I hate bias officiating, star treatment, Star team treatment, etc. I bitch when the Suns are getting the benefit of all the calls and the other team is getting screwed (not that that happens often, but I'll point it out when it does).

Besides, you know that it's bad when Nash gets ejected from the game for arguing non-calls. If the refs had called 1/4 of the hand checking fouls then the Suns would've won the game.

As far as Nash getting T'd - he bitched about a close-call - deserving the first T, then continued to yell at the ref and got the second T - of course, we went into complete meltdown mode after that - but he got what he deserved.

Don't you expect all the losses though?

The Suns did not "meltdown" after Nash was ejected. If I remember right they were down 10 when he left.

Memphis shot the ball very well and the Suns were missing open shots. The lack of foul calls was distressing but the Suns are going to have to overcome these games where the play gets physical. The refs are not going to bail them out in the playoffs most likely.

EDIT: Crazy!!! They fixed the time on the server so the replies are placed before the earlier posts. :D

Sucks that it takes a game against a depleted Memphis team will most likely keep D'Antoni out of the All-Star Game.

Definately. I don't understand how you can call 2 techs on our best player with the game on the line. Total crap.

We blew a big opportunity. They were without Gasol, Bonzi, Watson, and Posey. Plus they were on a back-to-back. We really need to beat Minny tomorrow.
