Now THOSE are realistic odds? Basically betting straight up without the vig.

Is this a straight up win/lose proposal? I never got into points. You can tell I never gamble on sports even with play money.

:)

Nope. Points are in play. If you bet for the Suns and they win, you win.(obviously) However, they are being spotted 2 and a half points. So even if the Spurs win by 2 points, you win if you bet for the Suns. If the Spurs win by 3 or more, then you would lose.

Not quite. The Suns (as the underdog) are getting 2.5 points, so if you bet the Suns;

You win if the Suns score more points than the Spurs.

You win if the Suns lose by less than 2.5 points. Basically, you would add the 2.5 points to the Suns score at the end of the game to see if you won or not.

The whole idea of point spreads is to try to entice half the bettors to bet for the Suns and half for the Spurs. If the teams are terribly mismatched, you might see a line like CHA @ LAL (-7.5).

Awesome first game.

STAT was a BEAST, absolutely unstoppable in the last 5 minutes.

This is what I've been waiting 4 a long time. Lets put the team on his back and see how far we can go instead of chucking up 3 after 3 after 3..

Go Suns!

PS I dont care if it's a rule or not, the Hack A Shaq is the most Chicken **** strategy of all time and it needs to go, I dont care if it's Shaq or Ben Wallace or anyone else. You shouldn't be able to foul someone AWAY from the ball intentionally and make them shoot freethrows. MAN UP and play defense spurts..

It's almost like David Stern is TRYING to kill basketball.

Easy come, easy go.

The NO/Phx line is up.

I have no strong feelings about tonight's game. :p As you all know I live in New Orleans so I watch a lot of Hornets games. They're going to be pretty good this year, and are totally healthy right now unlike the Spurs.

Last year we never beat N.O. so my guess is another close game with N.O. pulling it out in the 4th. :( I do think we get a win off them this year though. I'll be at the Dec. 3rd game @ N.O. for sure wearing my Nash jersey.
