5 Losing Streak is about time to end. Enough humiliation and enough doubts.

Young guys need to step up because Nash is BACK.

Q, get your 3pt ready.
Marion, get your hands out and start stealing and deflecting the ball.
Amare, get your feet ready 'cause you are going to run with Nash.
JJ, get your consistency ready 'cause the Suns need you to be consistent.

I am not sure why you guys think Spurs is that good. Our record is almost similar. They are a great team but they are NO WAY dominating like how MJ did. Every team has a chance to beat them. Just figure out how to defend pick&roll and guard Duncan one-on-one.

One thing about Spurs is that Duncan doesn't play a lot of mins. We need to capture that moment to RUN them out of our gym. Parker may be good offensively but seal the penetrating lane and let him take jump shoots. Somebody needs to step up in the paint to defend pick&roll and if Parker got inside FOUL HIM. Foul him hard to scare him. If Sonics can do, so can we. Our 3pt % is about the same and I don't see why we can't shoot well against Spurs. Spurs is not a very good jump shooting team so I say we play Zone and let them take the jump shots.

Stay focused and don't get frustrated with hand-checking Nash.

I believe Suns will do it.

Should be a good game. I do expect the Suns to win at home, though I hope my Spurs prove me wrong. I'm going to have to check my local listings to see if it is on here, is this a TNT or TBS or ESPN game?

If the Suns can get a true center, that can rebound and play defense they will be a force to be reconed with in the coming years. I love Stoudamire, but to me the Suns look like the Mavericks from the last 5 years, maybe its just Nash.

Good luck, and here's to a good game.

There are many fans of other teams, even Dallas Maverick fans.

Plus he gets a free pass on the site, he is a Cardinals fan.

The game is on ESPN and FSN-AZ.

FSN also has the game in HD tonight on Cox Cable.

I know. I am a Mavs fan too because of Dirk. But the way he sounds like he prefers Spurs to win than Suns which is kinda ... you know.

Yea, I know. Kind of like he is a Spurs fan. :D

We have a Seahawks fans that posts on the Cardinals board, He also posts here but supports the Sonics.

Yuma is a Suns fan but in Football supports the Chargers.

Brian in Mesa is a stinking Lakers fan for crying out loud!

Everyone is welcome as long as they are not trolls and can follow the rules.

It should be on ESPN there.

I spent 90 percent of my life in St. Louis, San Antonio and Austin. I'm a huge Spurs fan. As well as baseball and football Card fan, Texas Longhorn fan, and Blues hockey fan. I'd love to see the Spurs put a beat down on the Suns tonight, but the Suns have a good team this year. I expect a Suns narrow win, but only because its in Phoenix. Still I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Spurs knocked them off.

You make it sound like the Spurs use some sort of gimmick offense and defense and have been lucky to win. There's a reason the Sun's shoot poorly against the Spurs, its no huge secret, its the same reason every team in the NBA shoots poorly against the Spurs, they play great defense. Duncan is next to impossible to guard one on one, he's too strong, quick, and has pretty good range. Duncan is perfectly capable of playing more minutes, but Popovich is holding his minutes down to keep him somewhat rested for the playoffs. Like a few others in the league, he's basically played basketball nonstop for the last year and half.

You can say all you want about the Spurs not being dominant, or not being a truely great team, but the fact of the matter is over the last 7 years, no team in any sport has a higher winning percentage than the Spurs. Not the Yankees, Lakers, Patriots, Braves, Rams, (insert any team from any sport here). They are a great team, and a dominant team, hopefully they will show you tonight just how great.

Oh come on guys. I am not trying to be dick to say you can't have other favorite teams but posts like this on a Suns' board is just too much. You DO NOT need to tell me how great Spurs is. Everybody knows that.

This is a Suns board and I am just trying to cheer them up. Cheer the fans that are very down on Suns after these 5 losing games. Spurs is not dominant whether you like it or not. When I think of dominance, I think of Bulls. I don't like Bulls but in MJ's era, many big stars couldn't win championship because of him.

You don't need to give me 100 reasons why Spurs will kick Suns' arse. I know they are better at this moment but I also think they are overrated. It's not gimmicks they are using. It's just the refs have not been consistent this year to make call certain rules.

Hell, I will still cheer for Suns even though the odds are in favor of Spurs. Hell, that's why I cheer for Suns because cheering for the underdogs are 10000% more fun than cheering a boring winning team. I like the excitement of kicking Spurs' butt and if Spurs chokes again this year in the playoff, you better eat your own words.

And you didn't really think Suns would win. I don't know why you are here and I rarely see you say any positive things about Suns. You came here today because Spurs is playing against Suns tonight. The way I see it, you are TROLL. You just sound like "Oh, I also like Suns... but Spurs will win anyway".

And to say Suns is like Mavs just shows me how little you know about Suns.

Lets make this clear any fan of any team is welcome to post here. Just don't expect a worm weclome if you bash the Suns. For one HookemCards didn't bash the Suns so he is more than welcome to post about the Suns or the Spurs.

I never bashed the Suns, just said they remind me of the Mavericks from the last 5 years, no defense, all offense. I suppose you think they are more like last years Pistons or Spurs with that stilfling D they play. In fact I'm pretty sure I said somewhere that if they get a true dominant center they will be a force for years to come. I don't like the Suns, but they are a good, young team, so I don't think they will roll over for the Spurs tonight, but to say that the Spurs have only been winning is because of inconsistent officiating is ludicrous.

You can say what you want about the Spurs choking in the playoffs last year, but the Spurs have won 2 of the last 6 NBA titles, when the Sun's win one championship you can talk crap.

As far as me being a "TROLL", i'd like to know what I said to make me a troll and when did I bash the Suns? I've been posting and reading this board since its inception, but spend most of time primarily on the Cards board since I'm a Card fan. Sure i'm here because the Spurs and Suns are playing tonight.....BIG DEAL. Why don't you grow up.

Sorry, I agree with Jimmy. Go back to the Cards' board, Hookem--Suns fans aren't interested in light banter today. :banned:

I haven't been able to see the Suns play since the wheels fell off, so here's my chance. The Memphis loss saps my confidence, though--the other losses were understandable, but they should have won the Memphis game even without Nash. The Suns won't get back into rhythm immediately, either, and this trade is going to be disruptive--who's going to play Jacobsen's minutes with Barbosa on IR?

I think the Suns lose and the game isn't especially competitive. Hope I'm wrong, of course. :(

You do realize that Memphis is 9-1 over their last 10 games and playing very well? I thought that loss really just came down to the Phoenix Suns not making shots they usually do make.

I really don't feel that badly about any of the losses.

I know the Grizzlies have been playing well, but that was an important game because of the losing streak, the Suns were at home, they had time to rest and prepare, etc.

Plus, it's not just the loss, but the fact that the Suns weren't especially competitive--they didn't have any chance to win down the stretch IIRC. Smush Parker getting significant minutes didn't help, but he'll be getting time tonight, too, right?

Still, I didn't see the Memphis game, so I couldn't tell whether the Suns took bad shots or missed good ones. I'll take your word for it, and hope they show up ready to play tonight!
