So far, we are a better off with Nash off the floor. Barnes is playing good.

Well, we are playing as well as we did in those 140 point games before the losing streak. Obviously we still know how to beat the bad teams. 120 points at the end of third, 46 points in the third.

I believe there were issues with the site being down today.
I couldn't get on until just recently.

Yeah, there were some issues. I couldn't get on until now. This win was awesome, it was so much fun to watch.

Inching closer to the Mavs since they lost today.

pretty fun game, I love when the Suns and Warriors play, always very high scoring and no defense whatsoever. There were some nice plays in this game, including a big Grant Hill dunk and a Shaq alley oop. Even got to see extended action from the bench which was cool.. .Dudley was 4-4 from field and 2-2 from FT plus 3 steals, Dragic even looked solid and hit a couple threes. Our playoff chances are up from like 2% a few days ago to probably 10%.

This team is probably still the best offensive one, no doubt about it. But still, sux huge in defence ...

i agree. when nash is in, the game actually slows down.
i noticed, like all the other games, in todays game they were attacking nash early and being effective.

Too little too late, they will be back to their losing ways once they face a good team.
I have to say that if the team is tweaked to add some defensive minded players, they can make some noise next season because we have enough offensive ones especially when stoudemire returns.

Nice game by Dudley, really like how the bench got to play lots of minutes

The key to us being a contender is having JRich contribute. His underproduction is the one consistent thing with our losses imo (and our defense).

Barnes continues to be one of my favorite players.

Dragic wasnt too shabby

Barbosa has solidified my trust with him running point

Not seeing the point of the swift signing yet. He definitely needs more time on the floor imo.

Lopez continues to miss 0 footers... Im going to crush my remote one of these days if he keeps it up.

I have to quibble with that. Dallas has a comparable schedule to ours, maybe a trifle easier. They figure to go 9-6 in their last 15 games so we'd have to go 13-2 in our last 15 to tie them. One of the games we have is against them (in Dallas) and the outcome of that game is huge because whoever wins it get the tiebreaker - assuming the second tie-breaker is WL record in the WC. (I'm not sure it is but I think so.)

If Dallas wins that game and does go 9-6 overall then we have to 14-0 in our other 14 games to take over 8th spot. On the other hand if we beat them in that game, and they still go 9-6 overall, then all we have to do is go 12-2 in our other 14 games.

The chances we go 14-0, excluding Dallas is less than 1/1000 and the chances we go 12-2 or better, excluding Dallas is around 1/60. So if the game in Dallas is 50-50, being generous to us, our odds are 1/120 or less than 1%. You are right though, our odds are definitely higher than two games back. Realistically, Dallas has to have a minor collapse, including losing to us. If we knew Dallas was going to finish out 7-8 then we'd have about a 10% shot, since we could afford 4 losses if we beat them and 2 other losses if we don't.

Someone on RealGM posted this scenario that would get us into the Playoffs. It's not that likely but it wouldn't be unbelievable if this happened.

Suns:

vs OKC W
@GS W
vs Philly W
vs Wash W
vs Denver W
vs Utah W
@port L
@Utah L
@SAC W
vs Hou W
vs SAC W
@DAL W
@NO L
@MEM W
@MIN W
vs MEM W
vs GS W

MAVS:

@ LAL L
vs DET L
@ATL L
@Indiana L
vs GS W
vs Denver W
@CLE L
@MIN W
vs Miami W
@MEM W
vs PHX L
vs UTAH L
vs NO W
@NO L
vs MIN W
vs HOU W

If Dallas wins some of its games marked down as losses, they could still lose to Houston, NO, Miami, Denver, and GS.

Our odds are definitely higher than 1%. 10% sounds about right.

Awesome dunks by Shaq and Richardson last night.:thumbup:

Loved the sequence where Hill and Richardson are diving for the ball on the floor....somehow Barbosa ends up with the ball in his hands and calmy nails the three.

Just think if the Suns could have beat Dallas and won at least 1 other game during their 6 game losing streak. They'd be right in the race.

Anyone else pleased with Dragic besides me? He's really coming along.

I am. I think he has the potential, all he needs is time. You can see his confidence, ball handling, shooting, as well as smarts are improving.
