The Super Bowl LIV clash between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday will feature a tale of two different financial paths to the NFL's biggest stage. The championship opponents ranked on opposite ends of the NFL in terms of salary cap spending during the 2019 season. The 49ers committed more than $222 million toward players on their roster during the season, more than any other team in the NFL, according to Spotrac.
