Should our Cards go on to defeat the might Pittsburgh Steelers, where would this rank in terms of alltime Super Bowl upsets??
We are not as big of an underdog as say the Jets were against the Colts, however, our history of losing easily surpasses that of the '69 Jets, and cetainly, the Steelers dominance of the last 35 years surpasses the dominance of the Colts leading into the '69 bowl...

Personally, I can't think of a bigger upset than a Cards victory in Tampa... can you?

Last years was the biggest, IMO.

Thought about that one... do you recall the spread in that game?

It's hard to contemplate a Giant super bowl victory as being the biggest upset as they already had 2 prior to last year... But you can make this case for sure...

This will be the biggest upset since the Jets. Most likely ever. Consider the Cards were the worst playoff team ever. And, per 82, the Steelers D is the best ever.

If the Patriots had managed to beat the Bears, that might have been close to this.

I don't recall the spread, but I'm sure it was huge. NOBODY gave them a shot (and why should they?) and the perfect season hype and all. Couple that with my HATRED of Boston and the Patriots...and that was simply one of the greatest Super Bowls of all time. Not to mention catching with your head, to top it off.

Cards throttling the Steelers will be second in my book though. ;)

Greatest? It's up there for sure... Biggest upset though?? I really don't see it...
The Cards historical mastery of losing, combined with the Steelers historical mastery of winning - along with a alltime great defense (Mulli), sets this up for the greatest upset in SB history... ;)

Hey, wait! The Pats lost in the Cardinals' stadium last year. No wonder they hate the Cards!

I went with Broadway Joe in picking the Jets and clearly remember being held up to vast amounts of ridicule.

For years Super Joe (as I called him forever-after) was my favorite QB. My parents gave me a Jets helmet for Christmas one year. I still have it.

Joe Willie will be presenting the Lombardi trophy.

I'm takng this as a sign from God. ;)

Upset? Shocking the world!

it all depends on perspective.

When the Broncos FINALLY won a Super Bowl, they were 14 point dogs to the Super Bowl Defending Champ Packers and the AFC hadn't won a Super Bowl in over a decade. People were calling that a HUGE upset at the time but it fades because the Broncos then kicked the snot out of everyone the next season en route to Super Bowl win number 2.

But we're the Cardinals... the worst franchise in all of football... with what some called the worst playoff team in the history of football... going against arguably the best franchise in football... this one would probably rank just below the Jets and the first Pats title.

From a historical perspective, this would be a bigger upset than the Generals beating the Globetrotters, the Clippers winning the NBA title or Paris Hilton not having an STD

the Giants don't beat that Pats team the next 9 out of 10 games.

Sorry, but the luck for the underdog ran out last year.
