Ok, I have given him 2 full months and have come to the conclusion that he is annoying as an announcer. He reminds me of Thom Brennaman in alot of ways (who I couldn't stand at all). Sutton seems to think he is all knowing as it pertains to the game and the execution of the game when he is far from it.

At least he doesn't come across as a pompous windbag who loves to hear himself talk like Thom.

Sutton has more incomplete thoughts than a stoner discussing global economics. And I'm thankful for that, because I can't bear to hear where his lame anecdotes might end up going. They usually start somewhere between aimless and pointless.

I didn't like him at the start, but I've gotten used to him. He sounds like Thom Brennaman (who I really liked) so I like the Sutton-Grace combo.

I like Grace, but not so much Sutton. But Grace seems to like Sutton, so it almost makes me want to like him. I wish Grace would make fun of Sutton more, because I do it from my couch, and its so easy.

I really hate Sutton shouting "get down!" at a ball and things like that, he often peaks his mic, and it just seems weird and contrived. I mean, I guess I feel like, this guy has been announcing Dbacks games for less than a year, why is he such a cheerleader? Why does he care so much? I suppose the logical answer is that if you have to watch long baseball season, you want to watch a winner, but he seems to try to put on this facade of being some Dbacks diehard, and it comes off hallow to me.

It's his job...if he doesn't get excited or act like a D-Backs fan even less people would want to tune in. It's good to have announcers on your side. I agree it's kind of weird though, but he's just trying to take Thom's place I guess.

it was a pretty weird coincidece how they were raggin on Delgado after his homer for celebrating with Gotay. sutton was really ragging on Gotay. Then Gotay pretty muched toarched the dbacks
