T.J. Watt trade shakes up Steelers mock draft update

As it stands, the Pittsburgh Steelers don't have a second-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft. The Steelers sent that pick to the Seattle Seahawks for wide receiver DK Metcalf. In this latest mock draft, we took that into consideration and pulled off another huge trade. This time, we sent edge defender T.J. Watt to the Washington Commanders in exchange for the Commanders' second and fourth-round picks. A move like this would be hugely polarizing among the fans, but let's see if the draft haul makes it worth the move.

First round - DT Kenneth Grant - Michigan​

Grant is the ideal pick here, as he arguably fills the team's most significant need.

Second round - QB Jalen Milroe - Alabama​

The trade lands the Steelers Milroe, who has the highest ceiling of any quarterback in the draft.

Third round - RB DJ Giddens - Kansas State​

Giddens is the type of speedster the Steelers need in the run game.

Fourth round - CB Cobee Bryant - Kansas​

Highly productive corner with starter potential in the Steelers system.

Fourth round - G Willie Lampkin - North Carolina​

Something of an anomaly physically but has hours of exceptional tape.

Fifth round - EDGE Jah Joyner - Minnesota​

Elite length with explosion on the turn and closing speed off the edge.

Sixth round - DT Cam Horsley - Boston College​

Back to defensive tackle for a high-motor run stuffer with a ton of potential

Seventh round - EDGE Johnny Walker Jr. - Missouri​

Highly productive edge defender who could be an excellent rotational pass rusher.
