Plot Summary: Inspired by a true story, Antonio Banderas stars as internationally acclaimed ballroom dancer Pierre Dulane in the family drama "Take the Lead". The film revolves around a professional dancer who volunteers to teach in the New York City public school system. But when his classic methods clash with his students' hip hop instincts, he teams up with them to create a new style of dance and becomes their mentor in the process. Not bad. A little "Fame-ish" at times, but Banderas was pretty believable. The thug dude was not. :thumbdown

I recently watched this. I agree about Banderas, he was the only one that showed up. The students in this movie were awful. Perhaps it was just the writing, I'm not sure. The ending was a complete disaster. It was one of those endings that seems like they hit 90 minutes and said "okay, wrap it up".
