Notre Dame breezed through the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament like they were nothing. Now, it gets a more formidable opponent in the Sweet 16. That opponent is TCU, which already beat the Irish once earlier this season.
Take a look at the teams' national rankings in major statistical categories, and you'll see the Horned Frogs match up very well with the Irish in a lot of categories. It's hard to pinpoint exactly which battle the Irish should focus most on winning, but one might be 3-point shooting. While both teams do that well, the Frogs are a bit weaker at defending it, so the Irish might be able to exploit that.
You can read all of this and more below and make your own conclusions about what needs to happen for the Irish. It really doesn't matter what strategy they implement though as long as it results in victory:
Notre Dame ranks sixth in scoring nationally with 85.1 points a game and is tied for 110th nationally with 61.7 points against a game.
TCU ranks 22nd in scoring nationally with 77.7 points a game and is tied for 35th nationally with 57.5 points against a game.
