Have you seen this guy play? He's a decent prospect who'll fit in okay with Sendek's system, certainly better than Chad Goldstein, Bruno Clauidino, or some of the other scrubs Evans brought in but nothing to get all worked up about and make bold proclamations. He's maybe a poor man's Chad Prewitt at best and that's if he hits the weight room hard.

I'd take 5 poor man's Chad Prewitts, before I'd take any player on ua's roster...there is a difference between an anthlete and a basketball/football/baseball/hockey player....etc, etc, etc...Give my team a basketball player, instead of an athlete, and I think we all know who'd win the game.

The tides might be changing if Rhode was any good and if he committed to ASU over UA. The only problem is, he isnt that good and UA didnt even recruit him. But props for getting the #1 player in the state, nothing wrong with that.

Not sure how any sane person could honestly believe this. Even the most ardent ASU fan would laugh at such an assessment.

And before you guys start clamoring about replacing one of the top ten basketball programs in the country, remember ASU has still not managed to find a way to become an elite football program even though it's their bread and butter. The easiest way to close the gap in basketball is if Arizona comes back to ASU, which ain't happening anytime soon based on the caliber of players that Arizona will bring in over the next few years.

And unlike eveyone here, I have seen Taylor Rohde play. Don't believe me, read a pro-ASU writer's take on Rohde below which echoes my take on the kid.

Call him a Steve Kerr, call him what you will...Role players are some of/if not the most important players on TEAMS.

Know that I'm not saying he was as good as Kerr, but both players know their role, and follow it to a T...I'd take 5 of those type of players...
