We have (in no particular order)

1.Penny
2.Googs
3.Charbakapra
4.Lil' Jake
5.Big Jake
6.Marbury
7.Marion
8.Joe Johnson
9.Casey Jacobsen
10.Amare
11.might as well pencil in Barbosa

That still leaves a couple roster slots open by my reckoning. Even if we bring back Williams, don't most teams carry 13 players, with someone always injured? Who will be our extra guys? Don't tell me Langhi is a multi year signing!!! I don't dare look at Suns.com!

Still looking for that 13th player! Any Guesses? Still going to be Williams?

Actually, I think we carried 14 last year. If so, 2 more spots!

I would like to take a good look at Noel Felix and Florent Pietrus, but then again, these guys would just be bench warmers...

Maybe Drobnjak. Millage or Gardner might have a chance off of the summer league team just as extreme insurance.

Just watched Fresno State(Noel Felix's team) his Junior year. He looks like Bo Outlaw/Donnell Harvey clone. Athletic, defensive minded and like both players looked thin... not too sure about his offensive game - their offense was Melvin Ely or 3PT shot but he did have a Marion type explosive dunk(was mentioned as explosive a player team has ever had), made a 3PTer (and was mentioned he had 7 at that time of year - WAC conference tournament). His stats reflect not a great rebounder but with strength can improve - has enough athleticism and can rebound out of position. Similiar to watching Stoudemire in McDonalds H.S game gets his hands on a lot of rebounds but doesn't quite get rebound but keeps possessions alive (obviously Amare improved in NBA)...

Just watched World Championships hehe Russia vs USA - not too sure on Nikita Morgunov (on roster for summer league). He didn't shoot 1 jumper and repeatedly would drive and he doesn't appear to excel in 1 area. BUT Viktor Khryapa has some solid defensive ability, good athleticism - just really raw on offensive end. He didn't play a lot but could turn into defender ala Kirilenko - reminds me of a less athletic Marion type defender. Read that he has problems with quicker driving SF's and could be case but nice height, long arms, hops, shotblocking ability for a back-up SF defender IF Cabarkapa can grow into PF/C...

My bet is Gardner will make the team.

Gardner will be on the injured list as guard insurance. Williams will also be on the injured list (or maybe Googs)

No way. Gardner in now way, shape or form will make the Phoenix Suns. Why? Barbosa will get even more time than Randy Brown got last year, and we survived fairly well. If anyone is going to make the IL, it's gotta be a small forward, especially if Zarko ends up playing a lot of center, which is very possible with Frank Johnson coaching the team.

I agree. I don't see any way that one of the other point guards in camp will make the team. If the Suns keep anyone it will be a taller player who can either play one of the frontcourt positions or should the hell out of the basketball or both. Jason Gardner is essentially auditioning for other teams.
