Team will unveil new uniforms Monday

PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns will unveil the club's new alternate uniform on Monday, October 20th at The Home Depot at 43rd Avenue and Camelback Road in Phoenix. The event will get underway at 3:00 PM.

Suns players will model the new uniforms, which will serve as an alternate to the primary uniforms for both home and road games.

The Suns will also announce a new partnership with The Home Depot which will result in a two-week promotion leading up to The Home Depot Home Opener, the Suns regular season opener versus LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, October 30th at America West Arena. Tip-off is set for 8:30 PM. That game, along with the LA Lakers (Nov. 1) and Memphis Grizzlies (Nov. 7) launch Premiere Week throughout the NBA. just some quick comments:

1. Orange and grey is pretty cool but does anyone else think orange and purple would be better (kind of like that jersey that was on phxsuns.net for a while)? I thought at least they could have put some purple in there somewhere, maybe like a slash of purple within the grey parts or something.

2. The letters 'PHX' are okay but couldn't the lettering have been slightly more detailed? The new 'MAGIC" writing is an example - it looks really good.

I agree, "SUNS" would have been nicer. Now that you mention it, I'm not sure if I like the PHX, makes me think of airports

I do agree on the PHX, I would prefer the whole thing "Phoenix" like the old unis from last year.

I like "SUNS" for the home and "Phoenix" for the road.

I like the new jerseys. I think they look sharp and it is my favorite of the three. Wish i could afford to buy one. But i dont care what uniforms we wear as long as we win and get to the finals again sometime soon.

I like them. Some people have said the oranges too dull, but I think it looks good. If they were bright, Hunter Orange they would be awful.

I showed the above picture to my female attendant this morning to see what she thought of the new uniforms. She immediately pointed out that Scott Williams looks in the picture like he needs to take a cold shower. Maybe he was just happy to see the guys.

Watching the video of the presentation it is pretty funny that it seems like Barbosa needs a few seconds to realize that 3-2-1 was the countdown to unveil them.
