Hope it's true and Smith lands in Miami. Not a Smith fan, but gotta admit Harbaugh had success with him. I don't think much of Kaepernick.

That would be my dream scenario now that we're out of the Manning race. If we're going down without Manning, I want nothing but massive collateral in the NFC West--so far it's working.

Either scenario is good for us becaues he's not in SF and all they managed to do was piss off Alex Smith so he either won't believe Harbaugh next year when he says you're my guy, or he'll leave for Miami(who will regret it).

As I said before; too many hands in the cookie jar on this story. Writers wanted to be the first to break the story and pundits had fun speculating and guessing who was the "front runner" for Peyton's services. This Tennessee broadcaster is one small example. Just like Gambo remarking that Peyton was coming to AZ "unless Bidwill screws it up, somehow."
