Lost in all of the buzz coming out of the Miami Hurricanes Pro Day on Monday, after quarterback Cam Ward appeared to solidify his selection as the frontrunner for the top spot, the Tennessee Titans quietly returned to the facility to continue their pre-draft process.
In fact, on Tuesday, the front office and staff held a Top 30 visit with Oregon tight end Terrance Ferguson and it flew under the radar.
Ferguson may not be at the top of the tight end board heading into the draft, but the combination of his size and skill set makes him an attractive prospect on Day 2 of the 2025 NFL draft with the potential to step in and make an impact as a rookie. While he lacks elite skills, he is well-rounded, versatile and has shown consistent production throughout his career with a mix of technical prowess and athleticism.
He will need to refine his run-blocking technique and add some strength to fully reach his potential, but the tools are there for him to develop into a solid three-down tight end in the NFL.
If the Titans are truly interested, he will likely have to fall on Day 2, or they will have to make a trade to add a pick. After the L'Jarius Smith trade last offseason, the Titans were left without a third-round selection and go from pick No. 35 to pick No. 103 in the fourth round without making a selection.
