With all signs pointing to the Tennessee Titans selecting Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the first overall selection in the 2025 NFL draft, one would think that their quarterback room appears to be taking shape.

With Will Levis already in place and then signing journeyman Brandon Allen away from the San Francisco 49ers, the pieces were in place to select Ward. However, that room grew on Wednesday as the Titans came out and inked veteran journeyman Tim Boyle.

Boyle has bounced around the NFL since entering the league in 2018 as an undrafted free agent. Over his career, he has appeared in 23 games while making five starts, split between the Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears, New York Jets, Houston Texans, Miami Dolphins and New York Giants, where he completed 141-of-233 passes (60.5 percent) for 1,210 yards with five touchdowns and 13 interceptions.

In 2024, Boyle spent time with the Texans, Dolphins and Giants. He saw action in three games, completing 27-of-50 passes (54 percent) for 276 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

This move in no way prevents the Titans from taking Ward No. 1 overall. Most NFL teams go into training camp with at least four quarterbacks on the roster.
