There were 11 Georgia Bulldogs available to start NFL free agency and recently another one found a new home. Former Georgia Bulldog linebacker Lorenzo Carter signed with the Tennessee Titans on a one-year deal, according to Titans' senior writer/editor Jim Wyatt.
Carter was a four-star recruit coming out of high school when he signed with the Georgia Bulldogs in 2014. Carter was one of the few Georgia Bulldogs around to see the transition between Mark Richt and Kirby Smart. Over his entire Georgia career, he registered 166 total tackles, 14 sacks, six forced fumbles, and one defensive touchdown.
The New York Giants drafted him in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft. Ever since then, he's served as a rotational pass rusher with the Giants and Atlanta Falcons. Atlanta signed him in 2022 and then re-signed him in 2023.
He has amassed 21.5 sacks, 35 tackles for loss, and 278 tackles in his seven-year NFL career. Carter is currently the only Georgia Bulldog on the Titans roster, but with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft and significant needs, the Titans could draft Bulldogs to develop and fill voids on their roster.
