The Houston Texans are planning ahead.

Hours before the 2025 NFL Draft gets going, Houston swung a deal with the Cleveland Browns to shake up the order – for Day 3.

For the time being, it keeps the first-round order untouched but could serve as an indication of what might be coming.

The Texans have plenty of holes to fill on their roster heading into the season, making the additional picks a necessity. However, rumors have swirled that Houston could look to move up, which is also helped with the growing treasure chest of selections.

As for Cleveland, they managed to move up on Day 3 and secure an additional pick in two years. The Browns are in a similar spot in that they require a lot of roster maintenance but have seemingly taken a different approach in addressing that.

The Texans now enter the draft with nine picks, while the Browns have eight to work with. Here's a look at the details for the first trade of the NFL draft weekend.
