"First of all, I would like to congratulate Texas A&M. They played a great game and Coach Buzz Williams does a great job. They have a great group of young men and they play super hard," Bulldogs head coach James Jones stated postgame. "We got in foul trouble. Samson Aletan only played 15 minutes in the game. We didn't have the size to match up with (Payne) in this game. That young man had a great game against us. Credit to him and his team.
"In these games, you have to be nearly perfect to win. We weren't perfect. We won the second half by two points. If we did a better job of finishing out the first half, who knows what happens?"
