Texas baseball has the opportunity to score a landmark series victory when it takes on No. 2 LSU on Sunday afternoon.

The No. 7 Longhorns (18-3, 4-1 SEC) and Tigers (22-2, 4-1) split the first two games of this weekend's series. LSU ran out to an 8-2 victory on Friday night before Texas responded with an 11-7 win in a memorable, back-and-forth contest on Saturday.

That puts the series in the balance on Sunday. The winner will keep pace with five other one-loss teams at the top of the SEC standings in the early going. The loser will suffer its first series loss of the season.
