Fill in guys. Matthews has a killer glove. If we trade Finley he'd be a decent replacement till Terrero is ready.

I really like Bierbrodt.

Terrero IS ready. Probably Josh Kroeger is very close to ready, too.

Go for a really good defensive first baseman with a bat or a top pitching prospect - I liked Bierbrodt, too, but he's neither top nor prospect anymore.

Bierbrodt would be a better #5 than anyone we have, IMO.

Terrero just got out of counciling. He hasn't played in like a month, right?

Nix, Mench, and Gonzalez are all pipe dreams unless Randy is somehow involved. Nix and Mench are just as productive as Danny Bo at 10% of the cost. Gonzalez was the first player taken a few years ago and a top prospect so the odds of us landing any of these guys for a mediocre player like Bautista are slim to none. Let's hope Garagiola does some good minor league scouting and we can find a diamond in the rough that Texas is willing to get rid of for a three month rental.

I'm hoping we can pry Xavier Nady away from San Diego for Finley.

That is not going to happen. I dont think there is any way that Nady will be traded.

It was mostly just wishful thinking. Now with Nevin on the DL it probably won't happen but it was openly rumored for him to go to Seattle for Gil Meche, a promising yet unproductive and injury-ridden pitcher. Towers seems to be loading up for the present and with nowhere to put Nady, it wouldn't surprise me if he was traded although it will probably be for a player who's younger than Fins.

Terrero hit a home run last night that went over the green wall in center. It travelled at least 475 feet.

Terrero then went onto his knees and kissed home plate after the dinger. In the big show, he would be hit in the head during his next at bat.
