Class of 2027 defensive end Kaden McCarty announced a list of ten upcoming visits on Wednesday evening. Nebraska football made the cut on his list. He will be visiting Lincoln on April 24.

McCarty also has visits lined up to LSU on March 15, Houston on March 20, Michigan on March 22 and Texas A&M on April 5 among others.

McCarty is not ranked in the 247Sports Composite Rankings at this time. However, his offer sheet is growing. He has seven offers in total.

The Houston native has been able to make waves from the get-go. He was able to play at the varsity level as a freshman in 2023 and carried his development over to the 2024 season. He made waves, as he tallied 59 total tackles and 11 sacks in 12 games, per statistics from Maxpreps.com

The Huskers have been continuing to dabble in the state of Texas over the past couple of recruiting classes. They currently do not have any commitments in the 2027 class, but that could change very quickly. McCarty would give them a bona fide pass rusher and a strong developmental piece for the future.
