Rain and even a lightning delay could not stop the Texas Relays, as they finished Thursday's events with the final legs of the 10,000-meter run.
The Texas track and field stars will return Friday and Saturday, with the top high schoolers taking the track as well. The women's pole vault will take place at 10 a.m. Friday after the weather delays forced some rescheduling.
The Texas Relays see the nation's best college track and field athletes convene in Austin, in addition to a large contingent of the state's top high school stars, who compete Friday and Saturday.
