The Texas Tech basketball team now has two openings on the coaching staff.
Iowa announced Wednesday the hiring of Luke Barnwell as an assistant coach for Ben McCollum's staff with the Hawkeyes. Barnwell had been an assistant coach under Grant McCasland for the past two seasons.
The Red Raiders now have two spots on McCasland's staff open. Matt Braeuer had previously been hired as the new head coach at Stephen F. Austin. Braeuer stayed with the Red Raiders through the team's NCAA Tournament run, which included an appearance in the Elite Eight before falling to eventual national champion Florida.
