The Texas Tech women's basketball season isn't over yet.

The Lady Raiders will play at No. 4 seed Wyoming in the first round of the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament, the NCAA announced Sunday. The winner will face the victor between No. 1 seed Virginia Tech (18-12) and North Carolina A&T (19-11).

The WBIT is considered the second-highest postseason competition. The first four teams left out of the NCAA Tournament receive No. 1 seeds in the 32-team WBIT. Regular season champions that did not make the NCAA Tournament automatically qualify as well.

Tech, which reached the Big 12 Tournament quarterfinals, received an at-large bid, as determined by the WBIT selection committee.

First-round games are scheduled for Thursday. A tip-off time has not been announced.

The Lady Raiders (17-17) last made the postseason during the 2022-23 campaign, when the team reached the third round of the Women's National Invitation Tournament.

The rest of Tech's region includes No. 2 UNLV (25-7) vs. Hawaii (22-9) and No. 3 Florida (16-17) vs. UNI (17-16). UNLV and Hawaii won their respective regular-season conference titles.

The first three rounds of the WBIT will be played at campus sites. The semifinals and final will be at Butler's Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
