In college baseball, there aren't many programs as storied as LSU and Texas.

LSU has won seven national championships. Texas has won six. The only school that can claim more baseball titles is USC, which won its 12th championship in 1998.

On Friday, No. 2 LSU and No. 7 Texas will open a three-game series in Austin. The Longhorns and Tigers have played 44 times before, but this will be the first conference contest between the two schools.

Stay tuned for live updates.
