Great coach, and great NFL personality.

Edit: Arians has been coaching since 1975.....longer than I have been alive! Wow.

Being from the east coast, being from New Jersey, I can see how Arians rubbed people the wrong way.

That is fine, but his attitude never bothered me.

Like any NFL coach, he stuck to his systems, stuck by his coaches, and he played and ran this team how he deemed fit.

Arians never was labeled a gambler, but he gambled. Sometimes he won, sometimes he lost.

He finishes as the Cardinals all-time winningest coach, and dare I say the team in 2015 was the best Cardinals team to ever take the field. (Pre-Mathieu injury).

Arians dealt with key injury after key injury and this team finished, at worst 7-8-1. The injuries Arians dealt with every year was always like a sniper came into the game in question, and found the most valuable player on the field, and took him out. It was unreal at some points.

I think it was time, I think it was time not only for the organization, for the window, but for Arians as a person. He has too much passion for the game, and his health has not been great.

Time for him to go to the lake, and enjoy the scenery. He will be in an NFL analyst booth before long.

As for the Cardinals, nothing but great things to say about Bruce Arians from where I sit.

Thank you BA for a great run! Be well. Enjoy your family, and your lake.

PS - This is a thread for saying thank you, and for fond memories. There is at least 2 to 3 threads you can go bash the guy as he heads out the door. Please go there to do so.

It was a great run - the worst season was 7-8-1 - 50 wins over 5 seasons. Incredible for this organization.

Made Palmer and Fitz stars again to boot.

Thanks BA

We as fans are brutal with short memories. Anything short of a super bowl victory is failure. We tend to forget the trials and tribulations a team goes through in a season . If we could see into the future and see we were losing David Johnson and Carson palmer none of us would have predicted an 8 win season. Loved your charisma, passion and personality BA. you will be missed.

Thanks BA. You developed a winning attitude around this team. Most important enjoy your retirement with your family.

Also being from New Jersey I understand why BA's east coast brashness ticked people off. I loved it.

Ive been critical, particularly of his stance on Amos. But I thoroughly recognize and appreciate what he brought to,and has meant for, this franchise . . . legitimacy. And that’s huge. So thank you BA!!!

Mike, it’s on you to make sure the (re)building continues!

His worst season was 7-8-1... Over 5 seasons he picked up 49 regular season wins and a playoff victory. I think it's safe to say that if not for injuries to key players, BA would've had at least 1 additional post season win...

His style and approach wasn't for everyone, but I would say it worked for most of us. Had he not put up the amount of W's he put up, his approach would certainly not have been accepted by fans as much as it was. But Bruce, more often than not, put up the results to match his bravado. And man - his success in Seattle is stunning and further illustrates his ability to rally his team. His players loved him. His coaches loved him. The GM loves him and so does the owner. That is all incredibly rare! When was the last time a NFL head coach had all of that widespread acceptance and admiration, and was then able to exit on his own terms??

I'm happy to hear Bruce will remain active in the Valley thru his Arians Family Foundation. He is loved here in Arizona...

So Thank You Coach. You made being a Cards fan fun, exciting and respected... Gonna miss you a TON! All the best - especially when it comes to your health.

Arians heartfelt letter to the fans. Read it if you get a chance

“To the fans of the Cardinals—The Birdgang—I’ll never leave your side. The Red Sea always was behind me, so thunderous in your support, and I’ll continue to be active in the Phoenix community and support the Cardinals. Words can’t express my gratitude to the Birdgang, the best fans in the NFL.”

I’ve never felt this bummed over a coach leaving.

He changed the culture of our team and organization after the terrible 2012-2013 season with whisenhunt. Who can forget the blowout game against the Seahawks? I'm definitely going to miss BA.

No Risk It, no Biscuit. I’ll take that to my grave. Thanks BA. There haven’t been enough bright spots with this franchise through the decades, but you certainly were the brightest. God Bless you and your family in all future endeavors.
